Upon completion of this unit/project, you should be able to show proficiency in certain modes/functions by successfully completing the necessary evaluations with a 60% or better. The modes/functions you will be tested on for this unit/project are marked with a check in the tables on the next page. Please submit this document when completing your assessment.

Maximum score for any quiz/exam retake is as follows:

  • 1st retake:  90% of original highest score

  • 2nd retake:  80% of original highest score

  • 3rd retazke:  70% of original highest score

  • 4th retake: 60% of original highest score

If you do not achieve at least 60% during your first assessment, you may retake it after first completing any missing scaffolding work and seeing Herr Curtis during lunch or before/after school for at least 10 minutes. Retakes must be completed outside of normal class time (before school, after school or during my prep period). Schedule your retake in advance.

 Take a moment to reflect on your current abilities in the areas of speaking, writing, reading, listening and culture with regards to the modes/functions you will be expected to demonstrate by the end of this unit.  If you have no knowledge whatsoever, the item becomes your goal (G). If you have trouble mastering a certain item, but have some skill knowledge that you would be able to use in order to demonstrate this with help, you are in progress (P).  If you can do/use the items below on your own and you have proof, that is mastery (M.  How would you rate yourself?
